Marengo, IA Trade Fair?

I just saw an ad in the last Powderhorn Newspaper. It's January 8,9. Has anyone been to this? Are there a lot of vendors? I was wanting to buy clothes and stuff to take to rendezvous but want to buy it at either a rendezvous or trade fair.

Luie, I go to it every year. I only live 15 miles from it. You should be able to pick up clothes and other stuff. There are usually about 20 venders there. Hopefully my blacksmith friend will be there. Also their lunch, and pie is great. I'll be there on Saturday morning. Leon

There is a very large Trade Fair in Oshkosh, Wi on Feb. 26-27, 2011. You should be able to find about anything you will need there.

Was at the trade fair from about 10:30-11:30 this morning. Was about like I expected since it was in the legion hall. I bought a shirt from a lady on the left side of the building as soon as you walk in. Then I finally bought a pair of moccassins from the guy in the back with the table full of guns. He had a really cool .42 cal percussion rifle and a .62 trade gun I liked but of course it was too much money. I was very tempted to buy that lyman plains pistol .54 that was $50 but I was reminded I'm an awful shot with a pistol. I couldn't find any decent patch knives that were in my price range. Nor were there any powder horns in my range. I liked that fat one on the left wall of the building but it was $120. I wouldn't be able to haggle him down anywhere close to what I wanted. It's too bad I wasn't looking for a bag because the vendor up front had tons of bags. Now all I need is pants and I'm ready for rendezvous.
