The Market at Washingtonburg will be held Sept. 10-12 at the Army Heritage Center in Carlisle, PA. I think unfortunately it's a bit too far for me this year, with my schedule, but it looks like it should be an impressive gathering.

Just wanted to give a heads-up to anyone in the area...

I googled it, the website says it is from Sept. 19-21. Were I smart enough, I would have posted the link. It does look interesting.

check out this site. It is really at the army war college in Carisle,Pa.
www.USAHEC.org Go to upcoming events. Im going early Sat. morning and then down rt.81 to Conococheaque Institute where they are having another F&I encampment, this I think may be the better of the to, but having never been to either one I should not really say.

Guys,

Thanks so much for posting! Sorry I'm a bit behind this year in getting things on the boards. Evednt is the 10th -12th and there is still room to register if you would like to attend and camp. Go to the website and click the reenactor registration button.

"Next Friday ”“ Sunday, Sept. 10-12 from 9:00 am to 5 pm each day is the Market at Washingtonburg Colonial Faire at the US Army Heritage and Education Center. This will be our last MAW for a few years as USAHEC gets ready for Civil War 150 next year. This will also be one of our biggest events with a lot of new vendors, artisans and craftsmen. For more info, go to www.usahec.org"

My husband and I went to Carlisle today. We had never gone before and found it was well worth the trip. We saw friends we have not seen since our Rifle Company days and friends we just saw at the Northeastern. Great time, great food.

My wife and I were there Sat and a little bit on Sun. Had a great time an met a lot of nice people. Found out they wont have it there for the next 2 years because they will be doing Civil War.
We also were at Conococheaque Institute on Sat. they had a nice colonial market and F&I encampment. Guess that will be the place to go next year.
