Looking for more information regarding this firearm I acquired! The proof mark ELG with star in oval I do know this, but it is not 36 bore it is a .709in bore diameter. Does anyone recognize or have any other information on what the other markings may be?

New to the forum and I appreciate your help!

A 36-bore equates to .506" according to this chart: Gauge (firearms) - Wikipedia

A 36-gauge smoothbore equates to about .410

With my vision, I cannot make out the other markings

I have no clue as to why your bore measurement is almost as large as a 12ga

with the marking of 36 on the bottom of barrel that was our first suspension, but when it measured out to almost a 12 guage I was stumped . I appreciate your feedback and help!
