Amazing work. Do you do most of your metal shaping by hand with files?

yes! I work primarily with simple hand tools. but II use a small electric tool.only while working on the barrel,use the partial assistance specialist workshop .

tak! Ja pracuje przede wszystkim prostymi ręcznymi narzędziami. ale używam też elektryczne drobne narzędzia.Tylko przy pracy nad lufą korzystam z częściowej pomocy specjalistycznego warsztatu.

What are your experiences with the mechanism wheellock who you were going to build? I saw your project - a plan wheellock puffer, there are several errors. I hope that I overcame the obstacles.

I haven't started to build it yet. I made some test pieces. My drill press was out of center so I got rid of it and have not replaced it yet. My design is also not finished enough to start work. I have thought out some changes such as to make the wheel outside the lockplate instead of enclosed by it.

What a great looking wheelock--do you offer them for sale? I really like the looks of the 1550-60 lock. What holds the pyrite? Thanks for any info

This is not wheellock. This is snapmatchlock. This is a very unique mechanism.

It is absolutely beautiful--do you make any wheelocks for sale or would you know of anyone who does? JB is not interested in making one. Thanks very much. I didn't realize that the lock was actually a matchlock--great craftmanship.
