Melt the Bore Butter down and mix in some bees wax. I use it on my Lee REAL bullets. Just dip them in the melted mix and let them set on wax paper. Works great  .

PUt the bullets on the wax paper, on a small dish, and put them in your freezer to solidify faster.

Agree with cowpoke...and if you're worried about the scent from the perspective of hunting, IMO you don't need to worry...its been used for decades and doesn't bother deer at all...and remember, if they somehow remotely ever get the chance to smell NL1000 on the breeze that same breeze will be carrying your stinky human scent right to them as well and they'll be headed for the next county anyway...

I lube Maxi-balls just the same as I do Lee REAL's. Tumble lube with Lee Liquid Alox and use a lubed felt wad over powder. I have experimented with Maxi's lubed different ways and the Alox is the best and produces the tightest groups on paper.

Lots of good stuff out there!
I use a home mix, I call Geezer Grease.
A mix of Bee's wax, mink oil and Murphy's oil soap.

I use the same thing for patches only less wax.
Only problem you might have with Geezer Grease is, you have to be an old geezer to use it

I LOVE "Geezer Grease" I'm going to have to remember that one for sure!

Like cowpoke & roundball, I melt some beeswax into NL 1000+ in a pot on the stove. Put the Maxi's in head-up. Set out on porch to harden (this time of year). Bring in to house, and use a drilled-out .50 BMG fired case that I got from a friend that shoots a Barrett (OOOOO-RAHHHH!) to "cut" the maxi out of the lube. A fire-formed .50 is just the perfect size  . Push a 1/4" dowl back through the primer pocket, and out pops a completely lubed maxi :)

Good luck with your grease, Geezer!LOL!

I use one of two lubes for my hollow based minis as well as patch lube for above freezing weather 80% lard 20% bees wax, below freezing pure lard.Simple traditional and for me it works!
