This will be the last [open to the public] ML shoot in Ulster Co. in 2012. The December 30 event will be hosted by the Phoenicia Fish & Game Association of 5419 State Rte. 28, Phoenicia, N.Y. I don't know as I've never shot there, and PF&GA's website doesn't say whether it's a line shoot or trail walk, so be prepared for either.

Directions: These are simple and direct. Take the NYS Thruway to Exit 19, Kingston. After the toll booth, look for NYS Rte. 28 West to Pine Hill/Oneonta. Take Rte. 28W for ~23 miles. Once you cross the RR tracks at Mt. Pleasant, Phoenicia Fish & Game's property will be ~1/4 farther west on the left. Hope to see you there!

what exactly is a meat shoot? i'll be there with my uncle either way i just dont know what a meat shoot is

Top scorers (top 3?) are awarded meat, which I assume is venison and possibly pork rather than roadkill. As I wrote in my original post, I've never attended a shoot at Phoenicia F & G, and never a meat shoot, so I can't be more specific.
