I also recommend skipping to the 40 minute mark if you are not already a fan of this podcast crew. Lots of rambling in the beginning.

Steve has one of the best podcasts on the market. I gather a lot of valuable information every Monday morning.

Did you see the Meat-eater show about deer hunting in Pennsylvania with T/C flintlocks? Much humor as they show how a flintlock works. They go through the loading procedure while it's snowing. Then on a hunt in deep snow and cold weather. Then there is a shot at a deer. Gloves on hands and set triggers. You can guess the results. ( Hint...the deer lives)

It’s enjoyable to watch the struggles of a newbie catch on to the difficulties. Steve has said he’d love to go back and try it again

Agreed. I look forward to it and the trivia shows every week.

I did enjoy that. Goes to show you...a traditional muzzleloader and a set trigger can humble even the most experienced hunter.

I find Steve a bit of a flog, he was good but he's got so full of himself. Haven't listened to his podcasts in a few years but I recall a lot of bs and interrupting guests. Overrated as a hunter, he's lucky to have guys like Janis to help him.
