I saw someone mention English gunmakers use a mixture of Mineral oil and Vasilene. What is the mix percentage?

Also, has anyone tried is as a patch lube?

Uhm, Vaseline is mineral oil.
and No, vaselene doesn't work, never has,, if it did we'd have seen it posted all over the web for decades.
Vasilene is NOT a new discovery.
It does work for dry skin, chapped lips and a baby's butt

@Brokennock, it's the current thought process that there must be continuous improvement in all we do. And this continuous improvement has to come due to some magic elixir that we apply to our device. We can't have continuous improvement simply because we practice to improve our skills.
Maybe Preparation-H should be extensively tested as their new patch lube,,, I'm sure it will shrink their groups.....

And to seal the threads on household water filters. I use it for such every filter change

I’ve used Vaseline as a sealer on revolvers, don’t think it competes with most proprietary brands or even most home made lubes. But it’s cheap and available everywhere.
