To give it a try, gonna stir up some lard-beeswax minie lube instead of using the old standby do it all recipe lanolin-olive-oil-beeswax.
Does 50:50 do it best for the lard-beeswax lube?
Are there any adjuncts that work well, that are worth trying?

I've been using lard/beeswax at 5/1 for patch lube and it's working out so far, but it might be too soft in hot weather for bullet lube. Maybe start at 3/1?

:stir: Melted down some old LOOB and added some lard and beeswax. Got some particulates in the bottoms of the cakes from the raw wax but that won't matter.
Soft enough for winter time?

Any of the beeswax based lubes work very well and there isn't any real reason to add a lot of ingredients to them. I did try beeswax/Crisco for a bit and wasn't impressed by it and I don't use Crisco in anything any more. The lube has to be fairly stiff to stay in the groves and you should increase the ammount of beeswax for warmer weather, decrease for cooler times. That's a lot easier to do if there are only two ingredients. I don't recomend any lube in the base as it has always given me incosistent results.

I've found lanolin to be beneficial in almost any bullet lube I've tried (the home made stuff, not store bought). Just a little helps. Which means my bucket will never be used up! :haha:
But in practice most any of a collection of things work until pushed too far...
:idunno: and then it don't.
