I'm offering this original miquelet lock for sale. The lock is complete but had been disassembled for cleaning at some time and the pin holding the mainspring in place is a replacement. Unfortunately the lock was not reassembled correctly and you can see that the mainspring is below the lock and not up on the toe of the hammer as it should be. Also if you look at the photo of the inside tail of the lock you can see that the trigger bar (pen pointing to it) should be at right angles to the plate to engage the sear. This would require driving out the pivot pin for the sear and putting it back together correctly. There is some engraving on the edges of the plate and on the frizzen plus two brass inlays (one partial) on the hammer. The price is $225 shipped, payment by check or M.O., Shipped USPS Priority.
