Made an impulse buy from a forum member a couple of days ago, .50 cal Dixie Tenn Mt Rifle - took it to the range today and to say I was surprised is an understatement. Loaded up 40 gr of FFF, a .490 ball and the first shot went dead center exactly where I was aiming. That was cool for a new gun I'd never shot and was just making a guess at the load but what was really, really cool is that every subsequent shot went in the same place. I put 15 rounds through it, had to change targets twice because the bullseye was just one ragged hole. Sometimes impulses work out ok.

Thanks! I have one, these are nice, authentic, and Left Hand! The cherry wood is highly prized by the Japanese. (If we're thinking of the same gun!). It took a while for Dixie to sell all of them, mine came from a pamphlet flyer they sent many years ago. Think I paid like 600 for it.

I’ve never heard any complaints on the accuracy of the TMR. Everyone I’ve had including the .32 shoot dead on. Muzzle weight is a challenge for some It never really bothered me.

These do have a reputation for accuracy. The only complaint I have heard through the years is that they can be muzzle heavy.
