Hi all;
The local mountain ridge, (only 6 or 8 miles away), is reported to be well populated, if not overrun with coyotes.
I wouldn't mind spending some time up on the ridge hunting them.
My centerfires bore me, (anybody want to buy one?), so I'd like to take my 50 cal flinter.
Sadly, I know nothing about coyote calling, except some fellows are good at it! I have a doe/fawn bleat call, and I see rabbits calls and such on the racks...
Any of you care to explain the subtleties to me? (No, I don't want to buy an electronic call.) I'd probably like to wear my hunting frock too, if that would be enough camo!
Anybody care to teach me? Or, would I just be wasting my time and maybe I should just stick to working over the local groundhog population!
