Hi AJ
That's great you shared the story... Thank you...Say hi to tonka :hatsoff: for us... However if you invite me to a goose supper I can say hi to him myself
Say got any pic's (of your gun, geese, and TONKA)... That would be cool... how do you dress when you hunt with muzzle loader? What load do you use? What kinda of decoys... "O" so many questions but hey inquring shooters wantta know?
best regards Loyalistdawg :hatsoff:

Was it a double with a double... or was it a Scotch double? Either way, congratulations! :front:

I was using a Pedersoli 10 gauge SxS, 4 drams Goex 2f, ½ overpowder card and ½ cushion wad. I then insert an overshot card slide it down about 3 inches. On top goes 1 oz of #2 bismuth, ¾ oz of #5 busimuth and a 7/8 oz scoop of cornmeal mix. I tap the sides of the barrels to get the shot to rise to the top and mix the cornmeal as a buffer. Then add 1 overshot card tot he right barrel and 2 overshot cards to the left barrel. Slide everything down in place. Load a cap and wait.

It was a "true" double on the geese.
For decoys I use GHG full bodies and a Jackite.
