OK guys remember that I know next to nothing about muzzle loading. Can some one walk me through the shot process from before I enter the woods to cleaning at the end of the day. Just basics.
Thanks

Not yet. As it turns out my wife's uncle has two stored in his closet. When I get back to Texas this week I am going over to put some rounds through them. Trying to get some info because I am not sure he knows what he is doing;).

Of course our Forum has more information than anyone will ever use in it so just reading thru the posts will provide a wealth of knowledge.

The Search engine is a bit fussy and won't accept words less than three letters long so if your search question has words like that, put the phrase in quotes.

If you have a used book store around, check it out.

There have been a lot of books published that deal with shooting black powder.
Even old books are still good reading because traditional muzzleloading hasn't change for over 200 years.

Something like "Shooters Bible "BLACK POWDER GUIDE" is still a good reference and if you happen to find a copy of Lymans "BLACK POWDER HANDBOOK & LOADING MANUAL", you've struck a gold mine of information.
