Don't know where to put this question (??), but on the suggestion of some guys at the club I started reading Eckert, with the last book being Twilight of an Empire. As many of you probably know that one is about Blackhawk, the Sac warrior, and with his demise ended the conflict for land as far west as the Mississippi.
Can anyone suggest any titles, of a similar read from that point further west?? I doubt that the nature of Eckert's writing could be duplicated, I am just wondering whether something similar exists for the push west. ??
