Sometimes you can find them at gunshows or pawnshops. I thought about manufacturing a reproduction, posted a projected price for actions and rifle kits. I was called every name but a whiteman because people thought I was too high. Actions priced simular to an allen action and kits priced within $50.00 of what they sold for 20 years ago. I shelved the project for other things.
I picked up a finished 12ga and an unfinished rifle kit.
Going to be my next step closer to doing a kit in full.
Have refinished a few guns and now will go a little deeper
into the pool this time - If I can do even an OK job I may have
the nads to make a go at one from scratch.

If your kit came in at only $50 over what they sold for 20 years ago I would call it a bargain.
