I have a Traditions .50/.54 caliber bore light model# 1332. I was using in the other night after cleaning one of my .50’s. Then started on my .45 cal. I made a discovery if you take the lock ring off the top of the bore light you can also use it on a .45 cal. One other thing I found it is cheaper to buy a new light with batteries then two new batteries for your old one.

 I use one led with thin wires connected to a battery, this will do everything but a .22 :v

Yea that sounds good, I bet for a few dollars you could make your own from radio shack

Not for nothing but I picked up a some of those batteries at a local discount camera shop. cost about $1.30 each.

The light takes two of them but I bought 3 and found they fit in the bore light and it burns a bit briter as a result.

new here, but Ive found that you can buy lite up fishing bobbers that will fit down a .22 barrel. The only problem I have is the light is red, but have seen yellow and green. Cost is about seven bucks or less depending were you get them.

I put a shiny .38 Spl or 9mm casing down the bore and then shine a flashlight into the bore. The casing reflects back a goodly amount of the light making the bore easy to see.

Oldwolf has the track on this one! Plus, you can drop a shiny new cast ball down the bore and almost any kind of light you can shine will reflect nicely off the ball. Now, if your breech plug is clean you get the same effect and can see the chamber on a patent breech or the cut across the breech plug if you have one. Free bore exam! Wonky
