Gentlemen,

A cedar music stand for my wife, made with hand tools that used to belong to my grandpa.

Very nice. I like to think that using your father's, or grandfather's tools makes the project just a bit more special. :thumbsup:

Thanks for the comments, I'm kinda proud of it, as it is the first hand-cut set of mortise and tenons that I have done.

And yes, the dog does sing along, although her singing voice is a little off key.

Sir,

The finish is about 6 coats of Minwax clear gloss. The first 2 coats were put on real light, just to seal the pores in the wood, with the following coats being heavier.
