I am joining the NMLRA so I will be getting the magazine. But, I would like all the back issues that I can get.
Looking to purchase, are the newer issues "better" than earlier as far as content? I'm sure the newer they are the more color pics they contain. I love the photography in the Muzzleloader magazines I have. I'm just wondering if I should pursue the older, obviously rarer issues first, before they disappear, or just go for the newer? What say ye? Thanks.

I've had Muzzle Blasts back into the 60's, gave them away when we moved 17 years ago after re-reading them many times. Rejoined NMLRA two years ago. Frankly, $50 a year is pretty steep for a slick magazine now apparently more focused on things I can't afford. The older MB's will provide a better basis for understanding basics, practical skills, and photos of what we had available back in the day. You also get to "know" some of the legendary personalities now long gone. Prices on stuff? Uh..wow.

Also had American Rifleman back to the 1930's. Oh well...get some old MB's while you can ...and newer ones, too. They're different.

I'm a NMLRA member and yes, you can get back issues but in digital form. They are available to members online.

Thanks, I know that, with membership, I will be able to view back issues online, but I still like holding a magazine in my hand and reading.

It is important to be a member of the NMLRA and the NRA(despite issues).
There are attacks coming on muzzleloaders and the supporting items.
I believe Goex might have considered future constrictions the Government
will likely put in place. You cannot keep freedoms and allow open borders.
Let in MS13 and Haitian gangs---then your freedoms will go--not the gangs.
Having said that, we must resist losing our freedoms. Muzzle Blasts is a
consistently good publication-high gloss quality.

The older issues before gloss had more interesting articles.

Past issues of Muzzle Blasts can be obtained from The Log Cabin Shop in Lodi, OH, check with them.

Place an adv. in the Classifieds here seeking them.
