Hello all..Some years ago I made this to ease the effort carrying my JBMR.I had replaced the 30" barrel with a 35" from the Montana Rifle Barrel Compsany.Made the gun a little heavier.
It weighs a little over 10 pounds now.Made it a bit easier carrying it hiking all the hills and keeps my hands free. It's carried with the muzzle down so nothing sticks up above ones head.
I had bark tanned an elk hide and used that.Did a little acrylic painting on it too then with some stripes.

I adopted this case to muzzleloader hunting because I carried my .22 in a nylon case while coon hunting. It keeps the gun free from dents and dings and nice and dry also.
