Well, I'll start the ball rolling by saying: I've never seen a magazine which deals exclusively with building muzzleloaders.

Now THAT ought to get some answers! :)

If there are I sure would like to know about it. There are some good books out there, some better than others. I am using "The Art of Building the Pennsylvania Longrifle" written by Dixon Miller aprox. $23 dollars. Also the Fox Fire #5 series talks about making a poor boy rifle that is interesting. Others out there might have better books for you but I have not seen any Muzzleloading building magazines. :m2c:

I would say this forum is the best "muzzleloader building magazine"! Q&A's answered almost on the spot, connections to photos and how-to articles, advice from the best builders, encouragement and shared experiences and experiments and even a little humor. All it costs is an occaisional rude reply from some not blessed with patience.

olgreenhead,
a book that i would highly reccomend is "The Gunsmith of Grenville County" by Peter A. Alexander. A little pricey at 45$ but well worth it :imo:
snake-eyes :m2c: :peace: :)
