There was a little article in the paper today about the M/L deer kill in Wisconsin last year....10,400. I don't know how this compares to other States? We are at the end of the M/L season on Sunday, gun season ended about a week ago, seems as though the count is down this year , maybe due to winter kill and predators?

Stumpy, that's a pretty impressive number! Does NY have a separate M/L season?

The Wisconsin ML season goes until the 10th, Wednesday. Then most of the state has an antlerless only gun hunt until Sunday the 14th. Lots of time yet to fill the freezer!!

Good luck!!

Those numbers are probably just from our separate season. I wonder how many are taken during the regular gun deer season with smokepoles. Another interesting statistic would be what percentage are taken with those inline abominations. I would guess 75%.

Yeah, the inlines are not my favorite and I wish they had been EXCLUDED from the M/L only hunt. I hunt with a M/L through out ALL the seasons.
