This is my little 1/4 scale Parrot Rifle in .75 caliber. Ver fun little gun. Hope one day to get a larger one. I am guessing I am not the only one thinking that!
Yes, it is in my avatar.Where, in your avatar?
75 cal...sounds fun!
Thank you Dan! It is very fun and make a heck of a lot of noise! Also shoots accurately to at least 100 yards. Have not tried farther. It is .75 caliber.Beautiful!
We purchased a scaled down Parrot Rifle like yours from a company in Idaho. Bore is 2.5" or so. Steel liner gives a lot of confidence. Takes three to four ounces of FG powder, and can launch a concrete beer can across the valley. WahooThis is my little 1/4 scale Parrot Rifle in .75 caliber. Ver fun little gun. those are real considerations. we have two cannons, and i planned on building the carriages for them two years ago after making real rough temporary stationary mounts to hold them. The big one, the Parrot rifle, needs serious timbers to hold it steady. Both guns are stashed in the barn, mingled in with their wheels and building materials. We trot them out one way or another and then use the tractor and pallet forks to stash them again until next time. Smaller is better in this case.I'd love to obtain a larger cannon one day. At least 1/2 scale. Unfortunately a full size is out of the question. Besides the cost, the storage and transporting.
