My 1st Possibles Bag attempt ...

I made this a while ago, just never got around to posting. Was trying for a simple early bag made out of local fabrics. In this case I used canvas, as it was all I had on hand, but I was trying for white bag like an early French Milicein might use.

I do need to replace the 'modern' webbed strap with something more traditional and might just make one out of folded-over and sewn linen like others have done.

It has proved to be extremely light and functional for me!

That is a nece shooting bag, but my question is how did you put the print on those pictures? Not being reel good with the puter is there a program that I need or is it on the machine and I just can't find it? Thanks.

I open up the photo by right-clicking on the file name (wherever I find the file on my computer) then click 'open with Paint'.

That is Microsoft's bitmap program that typically comes with their op system. Click on the "A" symbol to add text.

very functional, i am waiting to try lining a bag, have not attempted that. I like the pockets sewn in!

I've been doing some double pouch bags out of canvas. Fun material to work with. I have been lining mine and find it straight forward.
was emailed a terrific pattern from a member here that adapts well to canvas.
Then I read on the net that canvas was fairly well used in the day!
so I dont think these are too far out of the "PC" realm!
dont matter thou, looks goods and works for me, and several requests to "own" one!
