It’s center punched but not drilled. Fortunately the breach plug is well behind where it needs to be drilled so I don’t have to remove it. I‘m going to drill it tomorrow and hopefully get to the range in a few days. It sparks very well and has a six pound trigger. The musket itself weighs 7.5 pounds.

665 delivered from Canada.

Is it a real "dog lock" in that the half-cock position is held by the external dog, or does it have a half-cock notch in the lock, and the dog is merely extra?

There is no half cock. It is a true dog lock design as far as I know. It’s awkward too, kind of need a third hand sometimes 😀. I see why they changed the design especially for military use.

I asked as I will likely break down and get one, since it's an actual dog-lock...,

Funny, but the Swedes didn't do away with the dog-lock on Military muskets until the 19th century.

I know the Indian guns are a mixed bag. When I ordered mine I called Access Heritage and they told me that the one they were sending me just arrived from the manufacturer. I was worried I might get a POS nobody else wanted. I would like to think that the Indians are taking criticism about the poor inletting and over polishing and are producing better guns now. My new one has none of these issues, at least by my standards anyway.

Heresy! Off with his head!

All in fun. I just remember you strongly disliking Indian made guns not all that long ago.
Yes I hated curry poppers till I really got a good look
I was very nervous when I cut a check to loyalist, even after my research
Then I got something I think is super and easily the equal to perdisoli and fits as good as I ever built. The lock sparks like the forth of july
