Sitting on a ground stool this morning, facing front and left (i'm right handed) a doe came up fast on my right shoulder at 30yds., not being able to stand up, I fired left handed and made meat. While I have shot quite a few deer, this was my first left handed one. A .58 Zouave makes a clean kill!

FINALLY!!!!! someone see it from my side! ATTABOY! Master Blaster! Congrats! keep at it it works well...... RC

Nice Master Blaster.

I taught myself to shoot left handed long ago, someone in my position needs to take full advantage of any opportunity. And throuh the years I've taken a few by shooting left handed. Including the biggest deer I've ever killed.

Grats on yer meat.

i practice shooting lefty just fer that reason....congrates :v .............bob

Congrats Master Blaster. I'd never have thought to try that or even practice shooting lefty. Well, next spring I'll give it a go. Nice shootin.

Congrats! :hatsoff:

The first deer I ever shot was a lefty. 2 does came in just like you said and when I turned my head to look they saw the movement. No way to turn around and still get the shot so I swapped hands. Works good!

Congrats! Maybe all them folks who shoot their gun from the wrong side ain't so wrong afterall. :rotf:

That's outstanding...good job...being right handed I've often wondered what I'd do if I was faced with taking an off side shot with a flintlock...the thought of that pan flash right in my eye was enough to make the decision for me.
Glad you got yours!
:hatsoff:

Way to go, congrats!!

The only double-bearded turk I have shot, I had to shoot left handed, it pays to practice that way from time to time.
