Made this up about 20 years ago as a quick fix as I didn’t have an adjustable rest, still using it all the time!!
Material is all scrap plywood plus some screwed rod and a bit of old leather belt.
The column has that spiral twist to it, not by design but because the bits of ply moved when I clamped them together and I didn’t notice till I went to turn it.
The adjustment wheel has a 1/2 inch nut in the center and the three adjustable feet are 1/4 inch rod and ply nobs.
The leather proved to be a better rest than the notch under it, was another quick fix that has stood the test.

That's a great take on a commercial product. One thing I really enjoy about shooting muzzleloaders is the amount of ingenuity in the community at large.
