Well, I'm still struggling with the photography but here goes. More home made stuff. I reformed an old roofers hatchet to make the camp axe. Fashioned the handle from a chunk of ironwood I picked up near my deer stand. The pipe has an applewood bowl and Red Osier dogwood stem - not totally broken in yet but seems to smoke ok. The knife is a thrift shop find. I made the handle out of some maple flooring seconds - stained with vinegar/rusty barb wire stain.

Thank you. I have to say that I owe any success I've had in making my own equipment to the good counsel and advice of the many knowledgeable folks here on this forum and others like it. Thanks to all who are so willing to help novices like myself get started in this great pastime.

Thanks to all who commented. I'll continue to work on improving both. Meanwhile, I'm having a lot of fun and it's not costing me an arm and a leg.
