Well I don't post much, but that doesn't mean that I'm idle...lol The first hunting frock I've ever made. The stitching is all 1/8" saddle stitch and I punched every hole by hand. I used the Eagle Patterns variation, but decided against all the extra fringe. I started making it before I really read ALL the directions, so it's 2 sizes too big for me...lol It says to cut the pattern 1 size smaller if you're working with leather. Instead, I cut it 1 size too big, to make sure it would fit,,,ya right...lol It turned out great though. I hope the link works.

First Buckskin Frock

a little bigger is always better in my book. That way ya got room for a couple wool shirts or whatever underneath n not feel all bound up tight when ya got it on. Plus yer gonna gain a few around the middle here directly LOL everybody does, just about, when they hit the half centuary mark. You have been fore warned LOL

I made my first one out of linen look-alike, and it's too small. When I put on wool underneath to stay warm, it gets snug. I think you did good.

Best to make 'em big.........more room for your winter layers.

Nice looking frock.......how many hours woud you estimate went into it?

Del, Very nice job, but your not fooling me! :bull: .... You made that extra big, so you can carry all those powder horns of mine you had me make all at once!

Good to hear from ya!

Rick .... :blah:

Thanks a lot guys!
Rick, I have gotten so many compliments on those horns it's unbelievable.
I still think they'd be a little bulky all at once...lol

Thanks again!
