I hope all who see enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoy the real thing. This is my first knife, NJ1639 aka my father-in-law, helped me make it.

Very nice, I would be proud to wear that one on my belt.

If you would, please give us some notes on how you made it?
Type of steel?
Forged or stock removal?
How did you harden the blade and temper it?

Thanks, keep up the good work. Knife making is very addicting.

looks pretty good from this view, how did you hold the horn on? pins? epoxy? I cant tell. It looks like a great stabber thats for sure. :winking:

The blade was from an old butcher knife that my father-in-law had down in the cellar. The old handle was gone so he found an old antler for me and we "JB Welded" it into the antler. Then I just started grinding down the blade to look like one of the ones we had looked at in Muzzle Blasts. I finished the blade by sharpening it with very fine sandpaper on a belt sander. It can now cut against the grain of a piece of leather and slice through it cutting a tomato. So far the knife has impressed every one that has seen it. To get an idea as to what size it is, here's a picture of it with my standard size Kentucky pistol
