Well found a deal I couldnt pass up picked up a Centermark .62 yesterday slightly used very nice shape. I traded a pistola and a old bolt action yugo mauser and cash for it cant wait to get out an shoot it !

Hope you like it, I really enjoy mine. They are a good quality gun and fast ignition. Went skeet shooting two weeks ago had a blast, literally.

I know 5 or so people that have these and they all like them I was just shocked at the price. I could not turn it down I almost couldnt buy the parts and have it shipped to me for what I paid and then I still would have to put it togehter . It should be fun shooting I got some .600 rd ball to run through it need to get some patching in the right width . ::

Does Centermark have a website? Or is there another site that sells their kits? I am looking for a relatively inexpensive smoothbore flintlock kit. Thanks.

He does not have a web site that I am aware of but if you do not have his information to contact him here it is.

I have heard that he has some guns in the white and maybe some kits, not sure though. Give him a call, I got mine through a local vendor and these guns, new and finished are not inexpensive. They run high $800's to $900 finished.

A friend of mine has a CenterMark fusil and uses .595 balls. One day while shooting he ran out and tried to load my .600 balls. They wouldn't fit - at least with the patch he was using. I believe he got the .595 mold directly from CenterMark and I think it's made by Lee.

I was using a .10 patching with tracks mink oil they can get rather tight after 3 rnds through it i have to swab it out. I want to try some .595's w/.10 and see how they work.

Hi there KMeyer, He-bear already ansewered some of your ? anyhow check this out .http://www.longrifles-pr.com/tulle.shtml For about 550.00 plus what ever shipping you can get a kit I was think of them before this deal came up also checkout this place, http://www.northstarwest.com/

I have a centermark fusil and I load with a .600 ball and can push the ball in with my thumb using .10 ticking. I have used .015 patch but need a ball starter. I mould my own and I have a .600 lee mould, they mic. out to .600.

Hey he bear how long have you had the Lee mold ? I have been told to stay away from them ! Would like your input on there use and quality?

I bought a few balls at the shop cast as .600 they are a little larger .002 to .004 bigger dont know if that is realy that big of a deal ? when i cast for my rifles they seam to come out pretty well right on .

I have only been making my own for a few years but they seem to do well. One thing I like about them is that they get up to temp fast so I have less rejects compared to the more expensive moulds. Also they are less expensive compared to others. I like them and they seem so to do well so far.

Mr. LHunter,
If you will permit :m2c:, we have been using Lee molds for many years and have found them to be of excellent quality and well worth the money.
Best Wishes

Hebear and Windwalker thanks for the reply's. Well you know how it is everyone has there opinion ! Just going by what other folks have said I have only a few molds and they are Lyman. But I'am willing to try the Lee brand to save $

One thing I like about this board is the information that you get. Some things work, others do not, but at least you have different things to try. I have used Lyman and T/C molds, both are good but I like how the lee mold works overall and the cost you can't beat. I would just try one for yourself or better yet, If you have a friend that has one you could borrow it. :m2c:

I have been using a few Lee moulds and find them a good value for the money. They will last a long time if you take care of them.
