"There are many like it but this one is mine"

I didn't want to hijack the other fellas post on the GPR so I'll post my own, I bought this .54 kit off a fella on here quit awhile back, just took my time putting it together, The stock is stained a mixture of LMF Maple and Cherry, then birchwood casey true oiled and OOOO steel wooled, the gloss comes from the minwax furniture paste wax. The barrel is LMF brown, with stock front site just polished out, the forearm cap is polished and waxed and the rest of the metal is vinegared in the sun for a couple of days then burnished with steel wool and oil. Ram rod is same stain then wraped it in a natural fiber rope and rotated it over a butane torch. It shoots great an I love it. Now to finish the matching pistol kit I have.

That is the nicest stock that I have seen on a GPR. Most have such pronounced grain that they look horrible to me - striped in a bad way - this one has character though and is beautiful! Nicely done!

Ya did good, that is a nice looking gun no doubt a notch or two above a ready made over the counter gun, that is one nice hunk of wood they found for the stock, get out and get her broken in and enjoy the journey.
