My new Merrill Flintlock Smoothbore!

Hey all, just wanted share with you my new smoothbore made by Jordan Merrill @Majormusket . It has a Rice barrel and a Kibler lock. The stock is hard and fairly straight grained maple completely shaped by hand, seriously, not a single power tool touched this thing from 15 pound stock blank to beautifully shaped gunstock! It has a 1/4" cast off and when you throw it up to your shoulder, you are already looking straight down the sights! I told him that I want it to look like it was an original grabbed right out of a museum display and I think he did a great job. Really is the finest piece of work I have had the pleasure of holding, let alone owning. Go give Jordan a follow on Instagram @merrillflintlocks to see the progress on his next build.

So far it shoots a dream! I'm still too excited to put it on a bench and pattern or sight it in, I'm just shooting it and having a great time.

Iron nitrate, some sort of stain (don't recall the name) and finished with linspeed.

20ga (.62") and right around 7 pounds. I don't have a scale that measures accurately in that range but I know that my Kibler SMR is in that ballpark and they feel identical weightwise.
