I have been loking for a peep design for my underhammers for hunting. Something sturdy, but easy to make. If you have a bridgeport mill, and my brother does! I made one for my 62cal barrel, but never really liked it. It works, BUT!

My 62cal. You can see the bolt that holds the peep, and the set screws.

New design that has windage dovetail. All I have to do is vary the lenght of the 1/2" diameter, to fit different guns and barrel diameters. All my receivers have the same 14 degree angle toward the stock, so that the angle of the dovetail will be the same.

So, what do you think?

In the white.

I decided to make it without windage adjustment, trying to keep it as strong and as simple as posible.

Using a 3/8 x 24 pitch bolt for the elevator, ever 180 degree turn will move the peep .021. Should be Ok for a hunting peep.
