Greetings everyone. I'm a newbe to the board. I'm starting to compile a list of vous in my area and was wunderin if anyone knew of any shoots, vous, or gatherins in the n.e. ohio area (akron, canton). Here's what I have so far...

Old N.W. National - june in Malvern
Great Trail - late August, early Sept. in Malvern

I know, pretty lame list so far, but I'm just gettin started.
Thanks to all.

Grassey Run is 1st weekend in May. Top notch event that gathers folk from all over the east! That is south of you near Williamsburg I think.

Ceasars' Creek State Park holds an event every month.

The village holds a trekkers conference and PC events as well as some less strict events one could use as start up participation.

There will be two or three indoor trade fairs in Jan/Feb to help stave off the woodsmoke withdrawel

There is an excellent rondy in Morgan County every year in early June. Not many traders but some of the best folk you will ever camp with. 50/60 camps last year.

These guys are shooters!

Bring your bow, bring your rifle and be prepared to get humiliated by some of the best women competetors in the nation.

A couple of the young ladies up there can shoot the spots off of playing cards at 50 feet, and call their shots!

(Don't ever bet money that you can outshoot a woman wearing a pollinaise gown espically if she is carrying a poorboy with double set triggers!)

Ohio is full of events. From March til November there is something going on every weekend somewhere in the state. I live in NKY and practically spend the summer in Ohio. There is something going on every weekend within 2 hrs drive of me.

You need to get in touch with Smoke and Fire News. They give national listings for thousands of events. It is the best $18 I spend in any given year.
