Today through Sunday, May 20, at the North-South Skirmish Association's Fort Shenandoah just north of Winchester, Va.
Some 3,000 skirmishers, representing units from the Union and the Confederacy, will compete with Civil-War-era revolvers, carbines, muskets, smoothbores, breachloaders, mortars and artillery in individual and team events. And two dozen or so sutlers will be open to provide all shooting wants and needs.
If you've an interest in Civil War guns and wonder just how accurate they can be, this is the place to be this week. Visitors are welcome.
