Just got this sxs, has cyl bore both barrels. Loaded a patched .690 with ox-yoke .020 lubed patch over 80gr 2f, at 25 yds right then left, reload, right then left, 4" group all in the black of a 25yd pistol target, I was pretty happy with that. The right trigger is a little heavier than the left.

Yes siree.....that is SO SWEET! I do the same!
are ya gonna use if for deer season? It works jes fine here in the WEST VIRGINIA brush...most shots are no further rhan 20 yds.....MY 12 blows a BIG HOLE...

Yep, I've got the same. Was really surprized when I tried it at 50 yds and the balls were only 4" apart. We can only hunt with a single barrel gun here. :curse:

WOW Thanks Hillbilly Gadget...

That is so good of you to share this. I will try out this load with my Navy arms fowler (double 12). It too has the cylinder barrels. If it hits any were from 25 to 50 I will be happy as a hog in poop...
Thanks again Best regards Loyalist Dawg :hatsoff:
PS Come on deer session (we can use two barrels up here)

I have a Navy Arms double barrel with cylinder bore barrels. I found that with 90 grs of Pyrodex RS, a thick overpowder wad(which i glue to a thick fiber cushion wad before i lube it), then a tight patched .690 rd ball mine would shoot 4 shot groups, (2 shots from each barrel), that was one large hole at 25 yds. Haven't had a chance to try it at 50 yds yet. I put a temporary rear sight on it by grinding and filing an old Lyman rear sight to fit in the rib between the barrels, and then Super Glued it in place. It was right on for windage, but was shooting about 6" high. Just need to file it down a bit, but was waiting to see how it does at 50 yds first.

WQOW Reb..
That's a great ider, I hope You don't mind but I am cop'en that ider for sure... Thanks a million...
:thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:
Say I Just bought some reloading speciaties, steel shot, and 3" steel shot wads (from the same) I will be trying some various loads and will get back to all of yeas after the trials... Best regards and thanx again Reb,
Loyalist dawg :hatsoff:

The 3" steel shotcup should hold 1 1/4oz of steel shot. I don't use the fiber cushion wads with the steel shot cups, just the thick overpowder wad under the cup. See my post below "Double barrel .12 ga and rd balls" for a pic of one of the groups i got with mine with rd balls.
