Thought I would cruise by their website to see if they had anything interesting. Don't remember if I noticed this before, but they don't have one non-military sidelock gun. At least on the internet. No Mortimers or Tryons. The cheapest muzzle loader is a Zouave for over $650. Nearly $800 for a J.P. Murray carbine. No wonder the used market looks so good!

Kind of sad when you think that fifty years ago Val Forgett, Sam Cummings and maybe Turner Kirkland had lunch down by the waterfront nearby in Alexandria to talk about having some replicas made. One time less is not more. :(

They have 2, lewis and clark, and bufflow, You are right about what the direction ML is headed. It is alot our fault. IMHO

The L&C gun is a military. The Buffalo Hunter is a sporterized Zouave. No more Ithaca Hawkens or anything of that civilian type. Bought my first BP rifle from them in '73.

I have a Navy Army Hawken in .50 cal. and can't find out anything about it. All written on barrel is "Navy Arms Co:Ridgefield,NJ USA and .50 Cal. and serial no.. But it is a sweet shooting rifle, and accurate. I wish they still sold them, but apparently they are catering to the military reenactment clientele only.

You should provide a photo. Years ago Navy Arms picked up the defunct Ithica Hawken and sold them until the parts ran out. Yours may be one of those. They were great rifles.
