I was wandering if any of you fellas have came up
with any homemade quick loaders for your 36 cals.
I've got a CVA Bobcat I plan to take squirrel
hunting this fall, and wanted to make up a few to
drop in my belt bag. I'd really appreciate any
help or suggestions.

Thanks,
Ka Boom

You can use a 11/32 or 3/8 drill and make your own out of deer horn or if you've got a lathe you could turn some out of wood. Some where there is a thread on this forum how a couple of us did them...Bud

Speed Loaders ??? (insert scream here) Don't do that !! Doing so just moves you one step closer to one of those in-thingies. :rotf:

j/k there buddy... Speed loaders can be made from bamboo if you have some near your home. Second thing you could do is make a loading block and use your horn from powder.

There is a diagram for a Quick Load in the thread at: http://www.muzzleloadingforum...c.php?tid/70311/post/70311/hl/+Sneakon/#70311

I made a few our of oak for my .54 hawken and they work well. I drill a #11 cap size hole in the cork and that gives you everything for a quick reload and next shot without having to carry a horn and possibles bag.

Not sure what size hole to drill for a .36, but somebody on the forum will know.

KaBoom Heres one that is easy, not PC. Take a prescription Bottle with twist off lid, Cut hole for your patched ball in center of lid.You could use a small one for 36.,Put measured charge in bottle and cap. You can load from lid when you take it off. You can put a strip of leather around bottle to hold a cap Glue, tie,or tape. You can make them with your pocket knife or drill Dilly

Have you considered making your own from a block of wood, a few corks and a 3/8 wood drill bit?

You could even rig it up to hang off a belt or install clips on the back side...

Purely convenience rather than PC, I use a loading block for ball and patch and corked brass cartridge cases for the charges. If you shorten a conventional cork, you can just get 25 grains of 3f in a 44 mag case. Half a dozen of those and the loading block will fit in your shirt pocket, so it's hard to beat it for convenience.

Green Hardwood (5/8 dia. +/-) sappling. Drill 3/8 hole, cut to length, debark if you want, let dry SLOWLY. Wood will shrink to well under 3/8. After drying, tape a length of sandpaper to a 1/4 dowel section, chuck in a drill and power sand to a comfortable size. Patched ball on one end, powder, cork / plug on other.

"Wow" Great suggestions guys.
It will be nice to have something I can load
quickly or have loaded when I come home in the
afternoon and run out back to the range and pop
off a few shots before dark.

Many thanks to you fellas. :hatsoff:
