I have a TC Hawken 50 Flintlock that was gifted to me in 1994. Along time ago I electroplated all of the furniture in nickle and it turned out great ! My guestion is can Can I safely clear coat the barrel with automotive clear coat. Also how can I download pictures from my Apple iphone to messages on this sight. THANK YOU

Can't answer your CC question. When you are posting a photo or video right under the area you type your text is a "attach files" button. Use that and select from your phone's library. Make sure you read the forum rules regarding data size limits.

You can clear coat it. I don't think it will last long if you plan on doing more than just look at it.

I don't understand why you would want to clear coat your barrel? My barrels are heated, coated with beeswax, and then wiped down. My flintlocks aren't intended to look "modern". Your choice, though.

you might be better off with a clear duracoat.
