Need help identifying new to muzzleloaders

My Grandfather gave me this rifle to clean up and I don't know what it is or where it came from. He said it may be a cadet rifle from the military I'm not sure though. Any help would be great thanks.

Looks like a half-stock rifle from Ultra-Hi, circa 1960-1980.

Markwell Arms gun. The circled M with the little butt stock hanging down, somewhat uncommon patchbox and the trigger guard. Found an old sale post, with one in the box:

@sethtate you might be able to solder the broken trigger guard - if you've got the materials and know how to sweat copper pipe, you could make a serviceable repair.
