Hey guys, need some help with a ramrod for my Spanish Jukar pistol:

If someone could give a photo of it. With the photo I could make a new one. dimensions would help also. Or a place I may be able to go to buy a replacement would help. Thanks.

I have an earlier version of that pistol. The ram rod is steel, approx 6 1/4" long, 1/4" diameter. There is a tappered steel button on the end of the rod approx 7/16" diameter, 1/4" high (Two step taper).

Hope this helps. :idunno:

Thanks for the help on the measurements. I will check out Dixie first and then may have to use your measurements to build a new one.

Checked Dixie gun Works and they didn't have anything for me. I guess I will have to build one myself. Thanks guys!!

Try Deer Creek Products....they are the current source of parts for older CVA/Jukar/Ardessa firearms. No website, call or write them at 6989 E. Michigan Rd., Waldron, IN 46182, or PO Box 246, same ZIP; phone 765-525-6181 ).

I would have thought Dixie's RP-1104 or RP-1108 would be just the ticket. Basically they are for the North, Waters or Johnson flint pistols of the first quarter of the 19th century but could be cut shorter for your pistol. I especially like the wood version though you might have to open the ramrod channel a smidge and shorten the length from 9 inches back to what fits your pistol...re-fitting the cleaning patch attachment wouldn't be that hard and would make a nifty looking ramrod compared to the metal ones. Of course, $17 to $27 bucks is a bit high for a pocket pistol ramrod, but it's all in what you like.
