I am 90% done on my bedford, first build. I was working on the barrel, finishing the vent linner, and I put the lock on my bench, turned around and watched the lock fall off the bench, hit the concret floor and the frizzen broke off right at the base.
I really don't want to buy a "as cast frizzen and have to fit, harden and polish it"
I understand l&r will fix it, the lock, but I don't have their phone number and can't find it on the web.
I am so frustrated with this, I was looking forward to shooting this rifle this weekend.
A stupid misstake is going to push back my project and I am sure going to cost me a few more bucks.
Live and learn, always make sure breakable parts are on the back of the bench safely away from the edge.
As a short term fix, can I have it welded??
I have a friend that has a "TIG" welder and is quite good with it.
