I've got a piece of horn left over that would make a good salt or rum horn. Need to see some examples and learn how they are put together. GW

Just like a powderhorn made with two end plugs. Fot the salt horn, the opening is drilled in the center of the horn body at the midpoint. With the rum horn, a hole is drilled as above and another is drilled near the lower edge of one of the base plugs. Waterproof well with beeswax inside and out.

I have sent you some pick's of a rum and salt horn I made the outher day. I would have posted it here but I don't know to make poto bucket work the one time I did get ti to work it looked like props from land of the lost so big you couldn't see it. I hope this will give you some ideas.

Thanks to all for the replies, PTs and emails. I've got some definate ideas for what I want it to look like now. Hopefully it'll look as good as your examples. Will post pics if it does. GW

A couple just went up for sale at Track, check their "updates" and you can see them. I didn't check but they usually have others for sale too. Worth a look for ideas.
