Hey folks, Buckskinner has been invited to put on a Rendezvous on a game ranch in the Peoria, Illinois area. We're thinking that this would be a good place and time to do the first annual TMA Midwest shoot.

I need to know the interst level, how many people would come out, etc. Dave is planning a pheasant hunt for those interested, and there will be shooting, trap shooting, archery, etc.

This is on a 1000 acre game ranch, complete with 2 ponds, buffalo, elk, deer, etc.

I need to know if:

A: You folks are interested
B: Anyone in the area is willing to lend a bit of support, ie clubs and such
C: When would be a good weekend to do this. We'd like to do it the first weekend of October, since this is also the Buckskinner anniversery.

I already have some interested sutlers and other related folks. I need to have an idea of interest in the next day or so to make an announcement.

You can see some of the ranch at www.trophyridgeranch.com

Works for me!!!! I'll take the time off work. How many days? I'll ask you more when I see you Sunday at Lapeer.

Talked to Dave at TRR, we're going ahead with this for the weekend of October 7-9th (friday thru sunday)

We'll be giving away 2 hunts--that's right HUNTS--One fallow buck (yearling, good eating) and a whitetail doe. We haven't decided if these hunts will be shooting prizes or drawings for preregistered shooters yet, but, it's all set. Dave will send you out with a guide, the rest is up to you--any blood counts, so, you wound it, it's yours--but I assured him that we're a bunch of straight shootin' fellers. There may be more of these depending on how spring freshening goes.

Also, we'll be offering--in addition to regular shooting competitions:
Archery
Trap Shooting (shotgun and trade gun matches)
Live pheasant tower hunt ($145.00 for 10 birds, more details to follow)
A squirrel hunt 50/50 (10 hunters pay $10.00 each, he who brings home the most meat wins half the pot. This will be Saturday and Sunday mornings between daylight and around 10:00am)
Fishing is free on two ponds--keep and cook your bluegills and catfish

Any clubs in the area of Peoria, Illinois should contact me if they are interested in helping. Dave is buddies with several media outlets, so this is going to be BIG and I'll need some help doing.

This is going to be UNIQUE, to say the least.

:peace:
