I need a flint mechinism to fit the lock mortise of the Traditions rifle. Anybody have one or know where I can get one?

Ghost, call Tip Curtis at Frontier Gun Shop. 1-615-546-4445. He will most likely know who makes the lock, or perhaps know which quality replacement comes closest to a fit.

L&R makes a replacment most likely, however, with my experience with L&R I would rather just use the Traditions lock than have to deal with them.

I had a Traditions Hawken flintlock here for several years for a backup deer hunting rifle & it seems to me that it is the same lock as a Lyman GPR. I never had any problem with the lock & have never had a problem with the GPR lock either.
