I'm not familiar with that particular trigger but have made springs for that specific purpose out of paper clips. Any springy steel will work, I used a paper clip because you can pound it out, bend, shape it cold and it will still retain enough spring to perform its task. Good luck!!!!!

Im just struggling to figure out how the spring goes. Is it 'pushing' the front trigger forward or wrapping around and pulling it forward

Looks like the same sort of setup for a Davis double #4. Goes in the rear hole, travels along the side and hooks in the front, no hole involved. If so, try this.
Track of the wolf carries triggers. Look at the listings and pick one that resembles yours. Open it up and scroll down. Not only do they sell new triggers, but they sell every part you could need for each trigger they sell. New spring is $5.
If your question is only HOW does it go, it should wrap around and hook the front supplying back pressure.

The ones I have done, the tip of the spring fits under a ledge on the front end of the front trigger and push up.
