nei .648 roundball

NEI has a .648 roundball with sprue cutter.. they said they would make it with very short sprue was thier standard way.. he will send me the cherry outside diameter to give me the cut mold size.. besides the short sprue what will a pure lead ball give me in diameter different from the mould diameter after its cooled down? .. any replies apreciated.. dave.

They really is no way to determine that without knowing mass and material of mold. Aluminum or steel single or double cavity. And even then the temp of melted lead temp of mold , mold release type if any. You just have to measure when molded ... the differance from projected dimension would be so small it wouldn't matter.
