OK Folks, this is what I have been waiting for....
So I have a couple of the older CVA 1/5th scale Napoleon cannons that were being made in Spain, and now I think Dixie and Traditions are still making them. Looking for some thing a little different I contacted Richard at RS Cannons out of Uniontown Pa. Gave him the basic measurements of the trunnion area for the Napoleon tube and he made this AMAZING Mdl 1841 6 Pounder Field Gun!!!
It is the same high quality, Stainless Steel cannon he has been making for years, but w/a over sized trunnion to fit the old CVA carriage. I think it looks GREAT! Can't wait to fire it!

I think it looks great also! I was thinking about painting it, but it is finished so nice i was thinking of gold plating. With gold being so high now is this even possible? Other than a gunsmith who else does plating?

Gold plating s very fragile. I have a Weatherby Regency shotgun that had a gold plated trigger and forearm latch. All the gold has been worn of for decades now.
If you're going to shoot it leave it as is.

Thanks Ptocazador, good point but I gotta have that look of bronze. Maybe just paint it and keep touching it up. The first one I did came out pretty good the second one ......?
Gotta move the barrel adjustment also.
