well I turned a new handgonne and decided to make a .62cal this time. I haven't got to shoot it yet because I don't have any .62 RBs. OAL is 12" and major dia. is 1.5". But anyway here it is.

I'm still not sure if I like the way it looks. if it don't grow on me by the time I shoot it I'll probably get rid of it and come up with some different profiles

Well to save you some face and embarrassment just box that thing up and send it my way and you will never have to see it again. I promise you will never hear of it again, and neither shall your neighbors or friends. I extend this magnanimous offer out of sympathy for another shooter.

OK, Freek, what the heck kind of shooting is that? And what are you loading that with that "it hurts"!?

A poor excuse kind. I had it loaded with a fairly heavy powder charge and a slug that I still have to weigh but I know it weighs more than a .62 RB. It takes a lot to get dad to trust them. he is always worried one might fail thus the get behind it comment, I am just worried about getting punch on my clothes

Dad's quite right, "proofing" is critical, and should be done more scientifically, however, if that's what you were doing, and it looked like with a cigarette, you were about 98 feet too close or missing a big tree IMO. It looked like you were plinking.

Freek, that is not the way to do either if I may say so...

I took the proofing shot earlier from a distance while wearing level 3 armor. That being said i did practice unsafe stuff on this one ie. priming with the incense stick still in my hand. I melted the amount of shot my cousin wants to use for hunting and used the charge he wanted. the recoil was more than ruger only .44mags.

Let me know if it still hasn't grown on you.
